A full-day intensive boot camp for new and aspiring presenters in the Leather/BDSM/Kink communities

 

Education is one of the most valuable and fun ways to give back to the kink community, and almost everyone has something they can share. In this full-day intensive, you’ll learn the basics of developing effective kink-related classes for large and small audiences and delivering them with confidence.

 

Who Should Attend?

  • Aspiring presenters with little or no previous experience
  • Newer presenters who have taught a few classes but would like to be better
  • Experienced local presenters wanting to move up to the next level

Saturday, June 23, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Writing workshop descriptions
  • Writing a good outline
  • Structuring a class
  • Writing your bio
  • Creating handouts
  • The science of how people learn
  • Targeting multiple learning styles
  • Teaching hands-on skills
  • Facilitating group discussions
  • Handling difficult students and situations

 

Getting Started as a Kink Presenter, Part 2: The Practice Labs

A full-day idea lab and practice environment for new and aspiring presenters in the Leather/BDSM/Kink communities

 

You had the training: now put it into practice! Bring your class that you’ve developed, practice it in front of a live audience, and receive constructive feedback.

 

Who Should Attend?

  • People who attended Part 1 or who have attended this class when previously offered (highly recommended)
  • People with some previous presenting experience who would like to improve

When and Where?

Saturday, July 14, 2018, from 9 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

What Will I Get?

  • Feedback on your class description and outline
  • Feedback on your “marketing” materials: bio, photo, and class list
  • Opportunity to teach your class for a live audience and receive feedback
  • Opportunity to see other people’s classes and get new ideas
